The Jennifer Collins Classic, formerly The BURG Classic, is an annual, volunteer-run local community-based recreation hockey tournament, golf tournaments, and social events that bring together the community in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The purpose and goal of the events is to raise funds to be donated within the community to individuals and causes who require it most. Each year, 100% of the proceeds are returned to the local community. 

The event committee makes difficult decisions on an annual basis when selecting recipients for support. Due to high demand and the number of worthy causes submitted each year, not all applicants will be selected. Applications are reviewed by the committee and selected based on need, referral, and references.

The Jennifer Collins Classic accepts and reviews donations year-round; we will follow up with applicants within 30 days of applying, indicating whether the committee can fulfill the request.
